Republican Senator Chuck Grassley dropped the hammer on the FBI this week, demanding answers over the FBI’s mishandling of the Clinton email scandal and asking whether or not former director James Comey leaked classified materials to outside sources.
The controversy swirls around whether or not the outgoing FBI director handed off several important papers to a friend of his before leaving office. Columbia University Professor Daniel Richman has testified that former director Comey did indeed pass him a stack of memos, but says that none of those that he received were classified. Grassley and many other Senators, however, disagree. “Of the seven memos, four are marked classified at the ‘SECRET’or ‘CONFIDENTIAL’ levels,” Grassley wrote in a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, adding that “only three did not contain classified information.”
“If it’s true that Professor Richman had four of the seven memos, then in light of the fact that four of the seven memos the Committee reviewed are classified, it would appear that at least one memo the former FBI director gave Professor Richman contained classified information,” Grassley went on to say before pressing Rosenstein over whether or there was any investigation at the Justice Department looking into the matter. Rosenstein responded by saying that he “could not confirm or deny” whether or not such an investigation was taking place.
Law enforcement shld NOT be independent of constitutional oversight. Like the military, FBI/DOJ accountability to ELECTED leaders is essential for liberty. We are ACCOUNTABLE to the PEOPLE in our representative govt. Hoover FBI was unaccountable/did great harm w abuses of power

To make sure that Comey and the others in the deep state don’t forget their places, Sen. Grassley also took to Twitter, reminding Americans that “Law enforcement should NOT be independent of constitutional oversight,” before going on to say “Like the military, FBI/DOJ accountability to ELECTED leaders is essential for liberty. We are ACCOUNTABLE to the PEOPLE in our representative govt. Hoover FBI was unaccountable/did great harm w abuses of power.”
The pressure seems to be finally stacking up against those who are trying to undermine this country and subvert our President. With the investigation by Devin Nunes about to head into action, and Sen. Grassley and others on the Judiciary Committee finally starting to ask the right questions of those at the top, it looks like the days of the deep state are numbered. Perhaps finally, with the last vestiges of the old regime cleaned out of Washington as a result of Nunes and Grassley’s investigation, President Trump can finally start the job we elected him to do, and drain the swamp in Washington that has been festering there for decades.
What do you think of Sen. Grassley’s questions? Do you think they will uncover more corruption and scandal within the FBI and DOJ? Let us know in the comments and share this page with your friends and neighbors to let them know that the days of deep state rule are about to come to an end!
