The liberal wack-job psychiatrist Bandy Lee is in some serious hot water. The Yale professor made national headlines recently when she questioned the mental fitness of President Donald Trump. But, as it turns out, Ms. Lee has a few problems of her own.
“We believed Trump’s mental state presented a danger to the public and felt we had a duty to warn them,” Ms. Lee is quoted as saying in a Politico article.
Well, the public might want to be warned against you and your unethical and possibly illegal activities…
Check it out, per Campus Reform:
Yale University psychology professor Bandy Lee has deleted her Twitter account amid mounting allegations that she is not licensed in her home state of Connecticut.
Accusations have been circulating on Twitter that the prominent Yale professor, known for her public diagnosis of President Donald Trump as having a “mental impairment” and who recently met with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to discuss the issue, isn’t actually a licensed psychiatrist.
In fact, Campus Reform discovered that according to the State of Connecticut, Lee’s “physician/surgeon” license expired in 2015, and her application for reinstatement has been “pending” ever since.
This isn’t the first time that Ms. Bandy Lee has been criticized by members of her own profession. By publicly commenting on a public figure’s mental health, she violated the American Psychiatric Association’s ethics clause known as the Goldwater Rule:
APA’s formal response came in 1973 with the adoption of Section 7.3 in the Principles of Medical Ethics with Annotations Especially Applicable to Psychiatry, which became known as the Goldwater Rule.
The rule applies to public figures and states: “[I]t is unethical for a psychiatrist to offer a professional opinion unless he or she has conducted an examination and has been granted proper authorization for such a statement.”
So basically, this Yale professor is unlicensed and making all kinds of wild accusations about the president’s mental health. What’s that called again in legal circles? Oh yeah… practicing medicine without a license and it’s illegal.
Before liberal outlets put someone on the air to volunteer their unsubstantiated claims and opinions, they should really vet that person to make sure they are who they say they are… Unless, of course, the outlet really isn’t interested in the truth or facts.
What do you think of the fact that Ms. Lee isn’t even licensed?
