NFL Linebacker Killed By Twice Deported Illegal Immigrant – Time to Build the Wall!

Illegal immigrants have claimed even more innocent American lives this weekend, and this time it was none other than the Indianapolis Colts Linebacker Edwin Jackson and his driver, 54-year-old Jeffrey Monroe.

Jackson and Monroe were on Interstate 70 near Indianapolis when a black Ford F-150 driven by a 37-year-old Guatemalan national named Manuel Orrego-Savala slammed into them, killing the pair instantly. When police arrived on the scene, Orrego-Savala initially gave his name as Alex Cabrera Gonsales. Responding officers, however, quickly saw through the alias, and revealed that the man in custody was a repeat criminal with a history of deportations.

Orrego-Savala, it turns out, had been deported from the United States on two prior occasions, the first in 2007, and again only two years later in 2009. He initially attempted to flee the scene of the accident on foot but was apprehended by Indiana State Troopers a short distance away from the crash site. There, officers also found that Orrego-Savala had a blood alcohol level of  0.239, three times higher than the legal limit, and had been operating his vehicle without a license.

Indiana Rep. Todd Rokita was one of the first to voice his outrage at the killings. “The loss of life at the hands of illegal immigrant criminals should make all Hoosiers sad and ultimately angry,” he said in a statement. “We must do more to get these dangerous illegal immigrant criminals off of our streets, and guarantee this never happens again by building a wall, ending sanctuary cities, and stopping illegal immigration once and for all.”

When will the rest of the country finally wake up and see the dangers that illegal immigrants pose to innocent American lives? Had Orrego-Savala been stopped at the border the promising career of Edwin Jackson would continue, and the life of his driver Jeffrey Monroe would not have been cut short. Perhaps now that a high-profile individual has fallen victim to the scourge of illegal immigrant violence, more people will begin to see the light and realize that something needs to be done. It’s just a shame that people need to continue to die to get this point across.
