Trump & Kudlow Have a Special Surprise in Store for Chuck Schumer

It’s called a recission package and it may be a saving grace for budget hawks and supporters of President Trump.

The monstrous 2018 omnibus budget bill passed on March 21 immediately had some congressmen and people calling foul. The $1.3 trillion spending plan did nothing to tackle the deficit, gave liberals everything they wanted, while denied conservatives much of what they wanted.

Breitbart reports that on April 8, White House chief economic adviser Larry Kudlow told “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace that the administration is seriously thinking of clawing back a lot of the spending proposed in the bill.

“There’s planning in the White House,” Kudlow stated, “My friend OMB director Mick Mulvaney, I’m an ex-OMB guy, I feel his pain. We are looking at an enhanced rescission package. I’m not going to use numbers. This is all around town.”

Kudlow continued, “I think the Republican Party on the Hill has finally figured out it’s really not a bad idea to trim some spending because after all spending can lead to deficits, and spending interferes with the economy, and President Trump is a deregulator and a tax cutter. We want and much more modest government role.”

He may not have known it, but Kudlow outed a major problem with Washington, D.C. Republicans. For it to be stated that the GOP “has finally figured out it’s really not a bad idea to trim some spending because after all spending can lead to deficits” etc. is alarming. The Republican party used to be the side of the aisle that defended against profligate spending and big government.

Not so anymore.
